Canberra’s annual internationally renowned Spring festival, Floriade, has been delivering stimulating designs to delight and surprise, promoting the exploration of colour and form as a desirable contributor to landscapes.

SPACELAB has been designing Floriade’s colour and thematic expression for the past 16 years, as the masterplanner and designers within LandscapeAlign.  Floriade is Canberra's largest tourist attraction/ event, attracting over 450,000 local, interstate and international visitors each year. Floriade has wide appeal across ages, cultures and demographics.

Every year concept designs are developed to inform a master plan, displaying the relationship between the planted beds and themes. Bold colours and vibrancy is evident in bulb selection, including daffodils, tulips and ranunculus with under-plantings of poppies, alyssum and pansies that reinforce the palette and background of the displays.
