Forde's designers dedicated one third of its area to open space, with 11 parks and close to 40ha of wetlands, all landscaped to immerse residents and visitors in open space, containing rare and unique flora and fauna of the region.

Forde’s residents enjoy ease of access to generous, custom-built community spaces, BBQ areas, playgrounds and picturesque ponds, with boardwalks and rest places encouraging people of all mobility levels to connect with the foreshore. A “sculpted into the earth” community amphitheatre, with strategically placed custom-built concrete seating walls; is defined by bold landscape walls whose strong lines contrast against the green turf of the amphitheatre. Playgrounds service a broad spectrum of demographics, with dog parks, sensory gardens, sculpture gardens, and playgrounds for ‘children of all ages’.
